It turns out my supply of ideas wasn't nearly as limitless as I thought it was, so I'm taking a break from the daily grind for a while. If any of you have good ideas you'd like to share, please drop me a line (either via email - ghostlytheodore@gmail.com - or in a comment) and I'll see if I can't incorporate it into a comic.
Happy trails! Hope to be back before too long!
Those not familiar with Citizen Kane should a) be advised that this comic is a takeoff from this still from the movie and b) this comic is enormously funny, but apparently you're not sophisticated enough to understand it.
burrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I got so caught up in all the things I needed to do yesterday that I completely forgot to post a comic. As penance, please enjoy this guest comic by my brother. He assures me that it is of the highest quality.
Growing a beard is clearly not a strength of Theodore's.
You asked for it.
Okay, so I never ended up posting the Valentine. I am slime. Forgive me.
Actually, you should leave a comment on this one with your opinion. Should Theodore push the button? Should he resist?
She's supposed to be kissing him on the cheek, but it turns out I'm a terrible, terrible artist.
Valentines up tomorrow! Hopefully!
Oh man. What's going to happen next?
I have a feeling we're in for an exciting finish, and I say that because I haven't actually drawn the last installment yet. Still not sure how it's going to end.
Sort of a "do I or don't I" conundrum. MAN UP THEODORE SHEESH
The for-official printable valentine will be coming soon. I just have to ink it and then figure out how to get it up here in a full-size format.
I think we've all been here, too, although it's a bit trickier in the age of caller ID.
I think we've all been here before.
How can a girl say no to a ghost with eyebrows and teeth?
Today marks day one of the "How Theodore Met Theodora" saga. Hopefully you like it as much as I do.
Happy Groundhog Day, everyone. Pity he saw his shadow today, but really, doesn't he seem to see it every year?
Nine-part Valentine's Day series starts tomorrow! And I'm working on printable Valentines you can hand out to your friends!
And just like that, he always manages to find a way out of these bizarre situations. What a guy!
I'm not sure how Theodore manages to find himself in this sort of situation so consistently, but there you are.
Perhaps my favorite thing about the movie Twister is that all of the dialogue is yelled. RUN!!! IT'S AN F-5!!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!
Turns out I can't spell "karaoke" properly the first time through. I always end up typing it as karakoke.
Get excited, friends, because I've got some fun things in the works for Valentine's Day, including a nine-part series and printable Theodore valentines! Starting next week! I think!
Awkward.
This is one of the drawings where some of the writing on the other side showed up on the scanner. I think it just helps to make everything look dirtier, which helps in this case.
Do you get the impression Theodore never saw The Dark Knight?
The tray in front of baby Theodore is the cleanest you'll find on any high chair, unless he's only just starting to be fed.
I'm only moderately sure about my translation, so if anyone out there knows Latin better than I do (read: at all), feel free to correct me and I'll print up a correction.
Yes, that's supposed to be a porcupine on the right. When I drew the first draft for this, I realized after drawing it that I didn't actually know what a porcupine looked like, so I ended up drawing an armadillo with spikes. Just remember that I don't actually have talent at drawing, which is why I draw a crudely rendered ghost instead of people, say, or kangaroos.
For whatever reason, nature has left me completely unable to draw a realistic-looking fork.
You play with that yarn! Get it! Get the yarn!
Looking mighty fine in that turban there, Theodore.
Poor Theodore is a magnet for flying kicks, apparently.
This is my first batch with my new pens, so I'm still feeling things out. Still, I'm rather pleased with how this one came out.
Also, for whatever reason, I always find it hilarious when Theodore stick things in his mouth. Go figure.
I didn't get around to posting this one around Christmas, but I like it so much, I'm going to post it now anyway.
I see this ending poorly.
I'm back from a week off in which I didn't really have regular access to a computer. Expect the Theodores to be rolling in regularly from now on, especially now that I have a new set of drawing pens. Hooray for stocking stuffers!
